Bankruptcy is the process by which a debtor gets court approval to have debts legally eliminated. If you are a creditor or collection agency, it can seem like a complicated issue, but, it isn't. Congress has set forth measures to discourage the amount of bankruptcies filed, and to protect creditors from having to write off funds owed. This webinar will explain, in detail, the various types of bankruptcy. It will detail the change to the United States Bankruptcy Code that you absolutely MUST know about. The bankruptcy process itself will be described, as well as the things you need to make sure you do to protect the money owed to you. We will also discuss the types of debt not dischargeable in bankruptcy, and the order of hierarchy in terms of who gets paid first, second, third, etc. We cannot guarantee you'll get all the money owed to you, but we can guarantee you'll know how to make your best case for it.
